United Karaoke is an international social, team-based karaoke league made up of supportive, inclusive communities of performers looking for something different than your typical sports league. Team-based means you perform with your friends and cheer each other on. As for the competition? Everyone gets to vote for their favorite performances using our mobile matchup scoring system – all to determine who will be crowned your city’s next karaoke champions.

HOW MANY WEEKS ARE IN A SEASON?
HOW DO I CREATE A TEAM? CAN I SIGN UP AS A FREE AGENT?
We know not everyone has friends who enjoy karaoke as much as you do. That’s OK! If you have friends who want to join with you, you can create your team when you register for the season. You and your friends will be put on the same team. However you can also register as a “free agent” and be placed on an awesome team! Who doesn’t like making new friends?! There is a minimum of four (4) people per team. The maximum number of players is eight (8) performers for full seasons and six (6) performers for mini-seasons. If your team has less than eight (8) performers, additional “free agents” may be added to your team.
HOW ARE SONGS ADDED TO THE SONG BOOK?
If there’s a song that’s missing from our songbook, you can submit it here. Due to the complexity of purchasing and adding new songs, United Karaoke will only add new songs every quarter. Please know we may not be able to get every song you want though. It may not exist as a karaoke track or it may not be licensed for public performance.
DO I HAVE TO BE AN AMAZING SINGER TO BE COMPETITIVE?
DO TEAMS REHEARSE?
Some teams get together outside of league to rehearse but many do not (and still win). Team members should communicate with each other before the season starts to decide what type of team you want to be (competitive, laid back, etc.). All are acceptable – it all depends on how you want to invest your time.
HOW DOES VOTING WORK?

Current registration fees for each 8-week season can be found on our registration page. We do offer special early bird rates for registering in advance of set dates before a season begins. Fees go to paying our staff, purchasing song licenses, maintaining our website and voting system, league swag and other costs associated with running the league. LA Karaoke does not refund registration fees for any reason. However, registration may be deferred to a future season for extenuating circumstances.
